Our white paper on internal podcasting – Business Case

One of our core products is podcasting. We believe that companies should explore the potential of this new medium much more and we evangalize this as much as we can. One of our customers wanted to try out podcasting for the communication of a new internal strategy. The project is running now for more than half a year and we gained a lot of expertise and insights in this ambitious project.

We have been presenting the business case on several congresses. Read our white paper we wrote based on one of these congresses here (courtesy of Jacob Fleming Conferences).

Our interview with Craig

Craig DeLarge is Associate Director at Novo Nordisk in the US. We met and talked with him before on a pharma congress and at the latest Jacob Fleming 4th Annual Achieving Pharma Marketing Congress we got the chance to interview him on the latest developments of Web 2.0 (or the collaborative web, as he calls it) in the pharma world.

Craig is a great guy with a passion on the topic. Check out also his blog Wiseworking.

Madness in Pharma Marketing – case study

It is a well-known fact that pharma companies do not score vey high on the Trust barometer. Although we still have the opinion that these companies in general made our world a better place, some cases keep on appearing and taken up by the general public that doesn’t help us defending our position.

Take Zyprexa from Eli lily, an antipsychotic drug from Eli Lily approved by the FDA to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Unfortunately it had some side effects too, starting with obesity and ending with diabetes (and even death, some blogs write). In this world of fast new media, all is in the open pretty fast and patients have the opportunity to be heard. That’s what they did and on various places on the internet websites and blogs popped up to write about their experiences. Check out Zyprexa Victimes, for example.

It got even worse, and Lilly was literally experiencing the Power of New Media.

So, let’s assume you are a Global Product Manager of Eli Lily. What would you do? Where do you go to find out what people are telling about your product and your company? Who are these people? How would you collect your data (hint: Technorati, Bogpulse) and what activities would you deploy to react?

Snakes and podcasting

OK, I promised the customer to keep it a secret till the podcast is published (we know how many but not who is reading our blog…), but is has something to do with snakes and goodlooking ladies.

100% DigiRedo

After more than 1 year of having a double job, I have finally made the leap of faith. Since April 1st I can dedicate myself completely to DigiRedo. Things go well, New Media is booming, and the power of it is recognized by more and more people. Companies start to see the benefits of communicating in an open, honest and engaged way. So I quit my job with Intervet International (one of the leading veterinary pharmaceutical companies) after 7 years of loyal service. And loyalty pays off…’cause only 2 days later (!) I was invited by my former employee on behalf of DigiRedo to talk about New Media. Fantastic.

Still, it was kind of a funny feeling…walking around with a visitor pass…

On the other side

Usually we go to a congress, grab our camera and interview people. This time it wat the other way around. Join us to see René doing his best to be interviewed at the Plugg 2008 congress. For more interviews and an impression of this event click here.
